Today, is the start of my journey.

Sometimes it is best to step into something slowly, rather than jumping in all at once. I’m all for taking chances, but when it came to Advocare I was pretty nervous at first.

I’ll be honest; I thought this organization would be another pyramid scheme. I figured the products were similar to all of the other health products out there. I’ll be honest again; I was wrong.

Today, I’m writing to you from the perspective of someone who is just beginning this journey. I’ve dabbled with the products for a while now, and as of yesterday I finally got myself on a product plan. I’m also writing to you from the perspective of someone who is not involved in the business aspect of Advocare yet, so what you do with this information is totally up to you.

I’ve never been an athletic person. My sister got the athletic genes of the family. One time in 5th grade, I wanted to try out for competitive cheer. All you had to do to get on the team was a cart wheel. Well, in the midst of practicing for my “high-pressure” try out, I dislocated my elbow…doing a cart wheel.

Like I said, I’ve never been an athletic person. I am driven, however, so I’ve always tried to work out fairly consistently to keep myself toned up. This can be a challenge for someone who isn’t really confident in the idea of athleticism.

When I was introduced to Advocare, I was skeptical. I really was. It didn’t take long for me to realize this organization is based on values that I align myself with, and that I am proud to invest in.

The product side of Advocare is definitely legitimate. I wouldn’t invest my OWN money that I work hard for, or digest products that weren’t going to 100% benefit me. There are scientists that can back each of these products, and that makes me feel really good about it. Advocare has several different groups of products to fit what customers are looking for, whether that is gaining muscle, wellness, weight management, etc.

The business side of Advocare seems to really work for distributers and advisors. I have seen it help people I have grown to really care about pay off debt, and save money for their families. It’s a shame that an organization such as this one gets grouped into the category of annoying, money-hungry, pyramid schemes that are out there. I don’t know when I plan on experimenting with the business side of things, but it’s something I plan on doing in the future.

I’ve never felt pressured.

I think what really changed my mind about the company was getting to listen to what was being taught at the annual conference. I didn’t go, but a lot of those lessons were relayed back to me in the days following. I can tell they are really trying to instill values in their users, and that means a lot to me.

Out of their 10 guiding principles, this one has to be my favorite…

Believe in the dignity and the importance of the individual.

I just think that is so rare to see from a company. Not only recognizing the importance of their organization, but the unique individuals who make up their success. That’s pretty cool.

As I’m starting this journey, I wanted to provide an initial perspective. I think it’s important, and I wouldn’t be writing about it if I wasn’t confident in what this organization can do for me health-wise.

Products I am using:

  • Advocare Spark
  • Meal Replacement Shake
  • Cleanse Phase (10 days)
  • Catalyst
  • Post Workout Recovery
  • Workout Video Series

I won’t go into detail about these products because different products will work for different people. If you are curious about any of these products, or what else there is to offer, click here.

I’m ready to start feeling confident about my body. I’m ready to be healthier than I have ever been. I believe this organization can help push me in the right direction to complete this journey, the right way. Advocare does not do it for you, but it supports the work you are willing to put forth to live a healthy lifestyle.

Let’s do this.

Updates to come.
